Rugby, fresh scones and cream

One was  indeed fortunate to be “un invité” to at the rugger at the weekend at the home of English Rugby in Twickenham. My good chum entertained us royally. A catered affair (naturellement!) which I am delighted to report that the catering was of the highest standards. The highlight was fresh scones with cream and jam in true English fashion. Almost as good as cook’s!.. I’ll ask her to share her recipe for scones on her page here. As for the rugby, those chaps from the colonies seemed to be in fine fettle and gave our courageous lads a tough old scrap. Well done to Fiji for such a display for rugby prowess.
